She rightfully told me that we should never wish time away, no matter the circumstances. As tough as this year has been for everyone in varying ways, there have been vital lessons to be learnt. Maybe we have learnt to appreciate the fragility of life, to feel grateful for all we do have, and maybe we have realised the importance of telling someone just how much we love them. I for one feel the utmost respect for the NHS and all vital workers and carers. I understand sometimes things are so bad that we can’t justify it or explain it, and life can be so terribly unfair. But it always helps to try to focus the mind on something positive, and hopefully one day going forward we will all be able to live in a more peaceful world.
