Photo by @jodymacdonaldphoto / A Bajau sea nomad takes a break from fishing in the warm waters of the Togian Islands in Indonesia. The Bajau Laut are some of the last remaining sea nomads who have lived at sea for centuries. They rely primarily on the ocean for survival while navigating an expanse of water between the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. I relished in the simplicity of their lifestyle and was endlessly fascinated to witness how they have adapted to the water world that surrounds them.
