With a combined decade of vanlife experience, @gypsealaysea & I felt this was the perfect progression for where we’re at in life. Our goal is to build a home that blends all of our passions by combining comfort, quality, style, and functionality, all while trying to be conscious of our impacts on the environment. I’ve found that by chasing my own dreams, I unknowingly inspired others to pursue theirs as well! So welcome to our next chapter! :) Huge thanks to Joshua at @tinyhousebasics for guiding us through so many of our first decisions. We custom ordered a trailer with them for the best foundation possible and I can’t speak highly enough about their brand and products. We’ll be collaborating with a very select group of companies along the way who align with our morals and values and of course we’ll be documenting the entire build! Our next goal (and one of our biggest hurdles) is finding a beautiful place to put our tiny house. We are looking for a place close to where I grew up– North County Coastal San Diego, CA (eg. Encinitas, Carlsbad, Del Mar, etc). If you happen to know anyone with some extra space on their property, please send me a message as we are open to paying rent and would love to find a way that this can be mutually beneficial for both parties.
