At 'The Point' he would always sit the furthest out the back and wait for the biggest wave and then catch it and shred some nice turns and maybe get some nice tubes if they were on offer. When he was on land he had a real affinity with the seagulls and they would always follow him around as if he had a pocket full of chips.
