I’ve come to a point where I look to gospel music to uplift me but I still attend mass services. I’ve observed some of the most oppressed people who struggle with racism but who still who praise, sing and refuse to be muted in their spiritual walk. It makes me rethink how easy it is to take for granted the smallest things. It is not a stride to perfection, only God has the final judgement. Only through prayer and fasting can we find discernment in our personal challenges, progress to be better and overcome habits and mindsets that no longer serve us. My son has been seizure free for 2 years and is no longer on medicine. He is a symbol of God’s promise and I am humbled by God’s goodness.
