(Me) Who politely listened to criticism about her body & looks as if she asked for pointers. Ppl near & far felt obliged, NONE she felt inspired to be like or look like. Then, the little birdies were in her ear all the time. “You need to put on more muscle”, “Girl you are way too muscular”, “Dang girl you put on some weight”, “What’s the deal with those hair extensions?”, “what happened to your ass?”, “Haha dang why don’t you back off on the botox”, “Holy moly why don’t you GET some botox”...I could go on for days. . Then that woman (me) woke up and realized it was my fault that those ppl (the ones I knew anyway) felt it was their place to voice unasked for opinions and took back the power to her own confidence. The further those ppl looked in this womans’ rear view mirror, the more she began to find her own self love & remember the most important opinion about her, is her own. . And now, she delicately lifts her hand, puts it on her heart...and reaches out to give all those imperfect people this universal sign of goodbye. 🖕🏽 . Now it’s your turn. .
