The last thing they needed was to be forced to be away from school and friends.” 22-year-old Osama is part of a team of UNICEF-supported volunteers providing education for young people affected by conflict and COVID-19 school closures in Homs, Syria. ⠀ ⠀ His team writes stories, composes songs and creates fun activities, all centred around child rights, COVID-19 prevention and mine risk education. ⠀ ⠀ “I’m overwhelmed to see how happy children and parents are with what we are doing.
