Jenty, 11-months-old, is smiling and playing again after treatment for malnutrition in Yambio, South Sudan. “It started with her having diarrhoea for several days. She couldn’t keep down what we were giving her,” says her mother, Margret. She took Jenty to the UNICEF supported nutrition centre where she was diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition. “Jenty didn’t have much energy back then. She was given ready-to-use therapeutic food, and very quickly she got her energy back. You can see how much she likes it.”⠀

We can’t let COVID-19 roll back decades of progress in child nutrition. UNICEF aims to treat 6.3 million children for severe acute malnutrition next year. Help children like Jenty by tapping the link in our bio. ⠀
