Winter is always a season of deep reflection for me. Winter is ruled by the element of water and is the season of the most Yin energy. Not only is my body constitution very Yin, I’m incredibly Yin in my natural emotional and energy state. And being born under the star sign of Pisces, it is an emotional time for me. For most of my life, I had allowed my Yin to be weak. Feeling unworthy, underestimated and undeserving. And like water, I let it flow.

I’ve cultivated my Yang energy in these recent years. Slowly building up confidence and courage to shed the layers of shame and guilt I allowed to consume my being. And I learned to strengthen and to value my Yin. For it is the wisdom of water that can carve through stone. Finding beauty in Yin, I am learning to make it my own.
