A Black woman watches the KKK casually walk the streets of Montgomery, Alabama in late 1955. Today is the 65th anniversary of the mighty Montgomery Bus Boycott. It from lasted from December 5, 1955 to December 20, 1956, when Browder v. Gayle took effect. For over one year, Black folks walked and carpooled and did not board a bus in protest and resistance. OVER ONE YEAR. Bless them. Thank them.
