It was the 90s!). We were all done opening presents and there wasn’t a boombox in sight. I was bummed, but ultimately, I was fine; we never got EVERYTHING we asked for (as we shouldn’t have! I’m trying to parent the same way). Anyway, we were all chatting and messing with our gifts in the aftermath of Christmas morning when my dad said he needed to get something from his car and he came back inside a few minutes later with a boombox for me. I was so surprised and excited and obviously, it’s a favorite Christmas gift memory because I still remember how it made me feel that day. I love surprising someone with a gift they didn’t expect (I did the same thing last year with Eric’s Peloton--it was so much fun for me as the gift giver). Today on the blog, I’m rounding up gifts for him and her from @nordstrom. There’s some luxury, some fun, some stocking worthy, and some that might cause an audible gasp when you gift it to them.
