BEING THANKFUL The holidays look very different this year for everyone and if I’m being honest, some days are harder for me than others. But most of those tough times I am able to find my way back to my center through gratitude. It’s not always easy but sometimes its as simple as being grateful for my breath or the sun shining on my face, and I always have gratitude for my wife and daughters, without them I would be nothing. Find the reasons you get out of bed in the morning! I promise it helps! SHOW APPRECIATION I love having a cup that is full, and I love even more helping fill up others. From the people working at the grocery store, to the nurses where I take my kids to the doctor or the customer service rep on the phone that spends the day solving one problem after another, I do my best to take the time to learn their name and greet with a big thank you and an even bigger smile. RETURN KINDNESS If I see a mom with kids at the grocery store, I will happily let her go in front of me, or something as small as holding an elevator if I see someone rushing to it, or helping whenever I can to improve someone’s game. Nothing makes me happier than when I can pass along some of what I have learned along my journey to help someone achieve their goals and dreams! Nobody ever got to where they wanted to be in life without a little help along the way! When you find an area to give back in, DO IT! It's all in the littlest things that don't require resources or effort that make the biggest impact. The world we are in feels a little bruised up and could use a bit more gratitude and kindness right now and not just this past week. These are just a few examples of how I try to live my life and the example I try to set for my girls.
