I wrote “Hat Full of Stars” with Nicky Holland. The idea for the song came from this hat that I got a long time ago in Vermont, before I went to college. I wore it all the time. Even though it was cold, Vermont was so beautiful, and I always wished I had someone to share it with. So one night, I took my hat off and put all the stars in it. That way, every time I put my hat back on I could remember that beautiful night sky, and maybe I could share it with someone….
