To balance out a home’s dramatic natural surroundings, San Francisco-based designer @nicolehollissf kept the color palette neutral for this 1970s Marin County cottage. The white background provides a canvas for the client’s colorful art collection, such as the bright painting by Stanley Whitney, which hangs above a Jeff Koons Balloon Dog in one of the children’s bedrooms (pictured).
