The Super Deluxe Edition reissue of Prince's 1999 has just been nominated for a Grammy for Best Historical Album. It is Prince's 39th Grammy nomination.

This is the fourth time that 1999 has been recognized by the @The GRAMMYs. In 1983, the album 1999 was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male, and the song "International Lover" was nominated for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male.

And in 2008, the album 1999 was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Prince's iconic albums Purple Rain and Sign O' The Times have also since been added to the Grammy Hall of Fame.
