You can't control your competitors, the judges, what time of the day you compete or the quality of the ice. Fortunately, there are also a lot of things that you can control though; like how you prepare for competition, how you fuel your body and how much rest you get - so there's no use focusing on the uncontrollables. The same thing applies when it comes to this Covid-19 pandemic. I can't control what other people do, which restrictions are put in place or when a vaccine is going to be ready. One of the easiest things that I CAN control is wearing a mask when leaving my apartment. I wear a mask to protect not only myself but also my loved ones, students, fellow coaches, strangers in the grocery store, and all of their families and friends. @bselflessapparel is a wonderful Canadian company based in Toronto that makes 3-layer reusable masks (as recommended by medical professionals) and are made from cotton fabric that would have otherwise been thrown out(!!).
