Watching my girl awe at what we are now living, tears, together, baby on the way, another teething and still a soft smile, and two more older living their lives with color and thrive, we pause. Watching our lives unfold onto the naked canvas of what we thought it might be and watch it be drawn, painted and sculpted into whatever it is that God sees fit for the temporary, we pause and actively give thanks. It is a new day and pause we do for our friends whose art far surpasses any dream lived or imagined, who have made it all so personal (a letter of my mother’s dropped in a bedside box), and who has now descended on us their talent galore.
