A huge weight being lifted from our shoulders. We no longer have a sitting president that spews hate upon its most vulnerable and marginalized group of citizens. Someone who only served himself and his immediate family. But most importantly it has fired me up because there is so much work to do, to bridge the gap of this nation and start the healing. For those saying it’s not possible, isn’t it worth a try? Things need to change in order for there to be peace.To be clear we were celebrating because now we all feel a bit more safe in our own country. If you don’t understand how that might feel instead of fighting us with angry words, try and understand where we are coming from. For those saying they don’t want a socialist country, have you or have you not happily received aid from the government recently? Like Stimulus checks? No shame in that. But before you call anyone else a hypocrite, think hard about your own actions.
