✨Sister appreciation✨ In life some of us are blessed with siblings, and some of those are blessed with siblings they are actually very close with (becoming their closest and best friends). In my life, I was blessed with three younger siblings, who I grew extremely close to growing up. Unfortunately, my sibling bond with each of those three was broken when a religious cult separated me from my family 14 years ago. I lost my two sisters and a younger brother along with every opportunity to foster a close relationship with them. It was a painful loss I have grieved and have felt strongly for years and even until this day. In life, sometimes you are blessed with family, and other times you make your blessings by growing close and choosing your family. My sweet friend @graceeliza who I have known for 20 years, lost many of her siblings when she left the cult 6 years ago. We both grew to understand that loss and fill in the void that has cut us deep for so many years. This bond we share is unlike many others, and I truly consider her my sister, my family and feel blessed to be given another opportunity to be an older sister, a special bond that cannot be broken. I cannot even describe the ways in which we have helped one another over the years but the gaps we have filled will forever be remembered. We both agree the sibling relationship feels irreplaceable but a little less painful when you gain the loyalty, trust, honesty and closeness that siblings should bring from one another. To the aunty and godmother of my daughter, one of my favorite gym buddies, my daily help, my fellow adventure seeker, sarcastic and hilarious; gorgeous and goofy; Grace I am so happy to have you as my sister.
