Time-lapse video by @daisygilardini / While adult polar bears only growl and vocalize when upset or threatened, cubs make various sounds in different situations. They might rumble, whimper, or squeal when hungry and asking for food. They might hiss and smack lips when fighting and playing with their siblings. Mothers usually communicate with their cubs through sight and touch, but they will also chuff and chomp their teeth from time to time.
