Ossai’s personal photographs celebrate identity, particularly Nigerian identity and culture, shooting Ossai’s friends and family at and away from home. Using her makeshift studio with colourful backdrops inspired by Nollywood films (Igbo and Yoruba) to create collaborative storytelling with her subjects, that are fun, playful, strong and unapologetically so, filling her subjects with power and agency.
