Did you catch all the ghostly references in The Haunting of Bly Manor? Netflix's miniseries is the follow-up to the surprise 2018 smash hit The Haunting of Hill House, which drew inspiration from Shirley Jackson’s eponymous 1959 novel. When it came time for the next installment, showrunner Mike Flanagan and his writers turned to another master of dense psychological terror: 19th-century novelist Henry James.
