That’s why I’m adding my voice to the @PhotographersVote conversation. I hope to encourage at least one other person to show up and vote Blue. We can’t change if we keep our current administration in office, and this is true all the way down the ballot to your local elections. The biggest changes I hope to make in the election this year are in the following races: I’m voting for @nithyaforthecity for my local City Council, District 4 Los Angeles. The time has come to elect the most progressive candidates. Nithya has her finger on this moment. It’s time we have someone in office who is actively addressing racial/police injustice, our homelessness crisis, & the severity of our climate disaster. I’m voting for @gasconforlada for the LA District Attorney. Our current DA is either bad at her job or in the pockets of the police department. 600+ people have died at the hands of police officers, not a single one has been prosecuted. We need someone who intends to bring justice to our communities, & accountability to our police departments. I’m voting for @JoeBiden for President. If we don’t get a new administration in office then in 4 years we will be crawling to get our country back to the very place we’re in today. We need to move forward with change. We need to not only protect our people, our lands & environment, but we need to make it better for all. We need to take our current health care system & expand it so it’s free & accessible for everyone - no one should be avoiding the doctor or hospital when they are sick because they cannot afford the care others take for granted. We are in a climate crisis, which will only get worse with an administration who is constantly rolling back protections. We need people to feel they have the right to govern their own bodies. We need marriage to be legal & safe for every person. We need an administration who thinks the mailman & our teachers are just as important as the CEOs who can line his pockets or the stock market.
