Helmut’s Berlin.
Where: Paris Bar.
Dubbed as the “living room of bohemian Berlin” during the Cold War, this French restaurant, a notorious hotspot for celebrities and artists throughout the late ’70s and well into the ’80s and ’90s, was one of Helmut Newton’s favourite restaurants in West Berlin. He was friends with the owners, who previously owned the legendary “Exil”, a bar with a similar artsy atmosphere, closed in 1985, where he used to both shoot and hang out.
For the October issue of Vogue Italia, @Mark_Peckmezian photographed a portfolio of women styled by @Tom_Guinness at various locations in Berlin associated with Newton’s life.
