Uruguayan designer @gabrielahearst unveiled her SS21 collection in Paris today – her first in the city – with a socially-distanced physical show. Noting that her subconscious took over in the making of the collection (she was visited by her grandmother in her dreams), Hearst also remarked that ‘the conscious goal was for the crisis not to stunt our creative growth.’ The collection featured pleated fabrics, fluid lines, crochet, knot and shell detailing – the latter of which started the basis for the collection after Hearst took inspiration from a shell bracelet her mother gifted her.
