Most people were surprised by my Jewfro photos I posted a few days ago so let’s talk about why #hairmatters because it’s great to grow your hair out during this pandemic and let your hair down (or up as my chia-pet-like hair prefers!) for several reasons. I’m going to keep growing it out because once it’s long enough you can then donate it to one of several amazing charities like @locksofloveofficial @wigs.for.kids @cwhl_org that provide hair/wigs for kids and people who need it, like those undergoing chemotherapy. Also, I’ve posted about the #uighurmuslims before as there’s currently a disgusting ethnic cleansing going on in China RIGHT NOW and just a few weeks ago, US customs confiscated a 13-ton shipment of human hair worth nearly $1 million from #uighur prison camps in China. In total, it’s estimated that $400 billion worth of goods produce by forced labor camps enter the US EVERY YEAR and we MUST not look away anymore so please research this issue and help @karmagawa and I spread awareness about this potential genocide that’s happening RIGHT NOW so we can work to find ways to stop it! Like too many things in life, most of us take our hair for granted, but 2020 has taught us to see the world very differently — let’s all use our social media platforms to educate people about important issues and help each other more, even in small ways like donating your hair to those in need, and together we can make this a better world FOR EVERYONE! #donateyourhair #givingback #karmagawa #jewfro
