The #Emmys were a zany take on an awards show amidst the garbage fire of this year, but it wasn't all bad—and in 2020 that counts as a triumph. When all was said and done, the night belonged to three big winners, but even Watchmen and Succession didn't have quite the lock on their respective categories that Schitt's Creek did. Which yielded one main takeaway: Make one really good show that lands with viewers, and the Academy will award you lavishly for it.
