Susannah was in charge of decorating the home, filling it with overstuffed furniture, antique lamps, and stained glass windows.  Just four days after seeing his completed home for the first time, Prince and Susannah flew to Sunset Sound and recorded “Dream Factory” on November 30, 1985. Dream Factory was also the name of an album Prince and his bandmates in The Revolution, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman, worked on throughout this period.  “Dream Factory was the house,” Susannah reveals. “The house, and his easy access to his creative and imaginative place in that studio. He could access it in a second. Roll tape. He was editing tape, editing kick drums. He was just in there constantly, and it was such a fertile time.”  In addition to "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker," Prince also recorded the Sign O' The Times tracks "Starfish and Coffee" and "Forever in My Life" at the Galpin home studio, in addition to the songs "Crystal Ball," "Witness 4 The Prosecution," "Power Fantastic," "A Place in Heaven," "Crucial," and "When the Dawn of the Morning Comes," and countless others.
