Two days ago I was sitting on top of a mountain full of gratitude as I watched the sunrise, reflecting on the beautiful red rocks. 👆🏼
Today, I woke up feeling sad, anxious and on the verge of what felt like a panic attack…which is something I’ve never experienced before. The point of telling you this is to remind you, and myself, that we are all human. The range of emotion that we feel is absolutely incredible, but it’s what we do with that emotion that dictates if we are going to live in a state of suffering or in a state of gratitude.
Looking at these pictures today reminded me of what I was feeling two days ago and immediately brought me back to the gratitude I felt in that moment. That moment as I was breathing in the air, feeling the sunlight on my face, and enjoying the company I was surrounded with…and because of this, that panic attack never came.
Sometimes we need to get out side of our selves to see the beauty that’s all around us...
