Dora Negrete is consoled by her son, Hector Rocha, after seeing their destroyed mobile home at the Talent Mobile Estates in Talent, southern Ore., on Sept. 10 after wildfires devastated the area. "The entire park was completely gone," photographer Paula Bronstein recalls. Two families were there to see the ruins of their homes for the first time. "There's nothing left, there's nothing left," she heard Negrete say over and over. It was "a very tender moment," Bronstein says, "and very difficult at the same time because it was so emotional."
