When Delle became an adult and experienced debilitating stress, a doctor recommended going to a mental health professional but Delle was overcome by shame. "Come down with pneumonia, and your mother will rush you to the nearest hospital for medical treatment," he explains. "But dare to declare depression, and your local pastor will be driving out demons and blaming witches in your village." Now Delle, an entrepreneur and @TEDFellow, is on a mission to make sure everyone — especially those in low-income communities — gets assistance when they need it. "We need to see mental health as important as physical health. We need to stop suffering in silence." he says. "Talk to your friends. Talk to your loved ones. Talk to health professionals.
