If you’re local to one of Canada’s Maritime provinces and looking to take a walk on the wild side this fall, here are some of our favourite hikes to enjoy:⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 🍁 Skyline Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park. With breathtaking views and an abundance of wildlife, it’s easy to see why this trail is so well-loved by those who walk it.⁠⠀ 🍃 Balancing Rock Trail. This 2.5km trail leads to a narrow, vertical column of basalt balancing on its tip! ⁠⠀ 🌊 Cape Split Provincial Park Reserve. This incredible out-and-back trail is perfect for enjoying a picnic with a stunning ocean view!⁠⠀ 🍂 Franey Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park. One of 26 scneic trails in this national park, this hike is challenging but worth the 360-degree views of the Clyburn Brook canyon.⁠⠀ 💡 Louisbourg Lighthouse Trail. A shorter trail that still packs a punch with impressive views of the Fortress of Louisbourg.
