My first synthesizer...in 1984 i was in a 2nd hand shop in connecticut and i saw this korg monophonic micro-preset synth for sale for $20. I bought it, played around with it, and then put it on the shelf, as it didn’t have midi, and it couldn’t play chords. It sat, unused, for a couple of decades, until i read an interview with OMD, wherein they talked about using this synth on their early records. I took mine out of the closet, dusted off the circuits, and have been using it constantly every since..sort of ironic that my first synth, bought for $20 36 years ago is now the analog synth that i use the most.
