I was mesmerized, like a kid forgetting time and place and just surrendering completely. The story, the writing, the music, the skill of this beautiful, beautiful company - wow, oh wow! Afterwards I was lucky enough to go backstage where I fangirled all over poor @leslieodomjr whose voice is like Christmas and whose stage presence is like fire - lethal yet soothing to watch. And who was kind enough to tell me he liked my jacket to save us both too much embarrassment. When I got home that night I started googling Hamilton, Burr and Washington. I’ve had the soundtrack on repeat pretty much ever since. I’ve performed a somewhat drunken Cabinet Battle #1 to convince my guy I’m actually very street back when we first met. These days I practice my belt alongside @jazzy_joness with ‘if you pay you can STAA-AY!!’ to the apparent joy of my 4-month-old baby.
