His name is Mike of #observersinn and he built this observatory on his property with about 6 @meadeinstruments telescopes. We saw Mars, Jupiter AND ALL 4 moons! AND I CLAPPED WHEN I SAW THEM BECAUSE I AM A DORK! We saw a distant star cluster and he showed us how every star has a spectrum ⭐️ 🌈 (I asked to see my beloved Cran Nebula but it was not available from North America at this time) He showed us a mapped image of where our galaxy is in the cosmos and we are half of a grain of sand... sort of made me stress less about all the emails I had to return. AND, in case that doesn’t make you feel lonely enough? It would take us over 80,000 YEARS to get to star closest to us. Talk about being socially distanced. We got to look through a telescope with our phone and take a picture of the moon and its terrible skin. It was just such an educational and mind blowing night. Afterwards, so pumped, @jodimillercomic went out and looked at the stars and thought about how alone we feel but how surrounded by life we are.
