With the US election just over two months away, it's important to ensure that you're registered to vote, have a plan to vote with family and friends and get involved with local organizations, like the Alabama Institute for Social Justice (AISJ), to ensure that every vote is counted. ⁠

A Lush Charity Pot partner, AISJ is dedicated to fighting for racial justice and equality by mobilizing suppressed voter communities and promote voting safely during Covid-19.⁠

AISJ engages in three core strategies:⁠
- Leadership development and training⁠
- Advocacy and public policy ⁠
- Racial healing and reconciliation⁠

The goal is to alleviate the strain of social and political disenfranchisement by using an empowerment model that is implemented through grassroots organizing, including training and issue education, identifying public policies that create barriers to economic mobility and then advocating on behalf of those most impacted by promoting racial healing and reconciliation through community dialogue forums and workshops focused on facilitating diverse understandings.⁠
