An artist painted a mural paying tribute to country singer and Tennessee native Dolly Parton outside a music venue in Nashville. The day before Nashville-based artist Kim Radford finished the mural, Parton came out in support of Black Lives Matter, telling Billboard: “Of course Black lives matter. Do we think our little White a**es are the only ones that matter?” Radford then added the quote to her mural and said the timing of Parton’s quote and her mural were a “happy accident.” (📸: Shelley Mays/The Tennessean)⁠
