‘Every painting is a journey that you go through. It's like a river. Sometimes it's very quiet and easy. Sometimes it's very turbulent and sometimes it's very difficult. Sometimes it’s frozen. There's all these moments and, usually, when the river goes into the ocean, or when it dies, it’s very satisfying. ’ artist @nicolasparty tells us.
Known for his vibrant paintings, sculptures and installations, Swiss-born Party often depicts landscapes, stripping all extraneous detail from the scene to simultaneously challenge the conventions of traditional artworks and explore the art of painting itself.
