Reduce fear to reduce pain.

Injuries suck but they are sometimes unavoidable.

Everybody loves some hands on therapy, but getting out of pain doesn't necessarily
require it all the time. When you have an acute flare up in your lower back, your pain alarm bells go off in the brain and send signals to the lower back muscles to ‘protect’ the area making you apprehensive.

Put simply, If your body perceives something as a threat it is likely to
become more sensitive and respond quickly to movements the brain perceives to be damaging. Remove the threat and watch the pain decrease.

These movements are all about making your body FEEL SAFE AGAIN. Do not fear pain, respect it. Listen to it and try to keep moving.
