We’re witnessing a golden era for fashion photography: the Italian panorama has never been richer and there’s so much talent. In occasion of the first virtual Milano Fashion Week, @CameraModa asked our Editor-in-Chief @EFarneti to curate a virtual portfolio of Italian artists, ‘Image Makers’. Today we introduce you @GioCorabi; graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2017, he soon developed a keen eye for casting and an honest aesthetic focused on exploring the emotional sphere of his subjects. This approach becomes more prevalent in constructed situations where it translates into a cinematic style with an attention to detail and a strong narrative element. Although fashion is the main focus of his work, Giovanni’s photographs have also been exhibited in prestigious museums such as at the Armani Silos in Milan and the Foam Photography Museum in Amsterdam. This balance between fashion and fine art shapes the overall feeling of his work.
