Santa Monica-based interior designer @kimalexandriuk spent many days video chatting with the homeowners of this hilltop property in Montecito, dating back to the very start of the design process, which took four years to complete. The couple, based in Manhattan, remained extremely involved in the process despite the distance between themselves and their future home. "They came out a few times, and we had meetings in person. But the fact is we did a lot already in this manner, designing from afar," Alexandriuk says. "They also let me push the envelope. And they were so supportive of my carpet collection. There were so many designs and patterns of my own in that house that I did for them and then introduced into my collection.” In the main bedroom the custom bed is by Alexandriuk and is covered in a @gsdltd velvet, the midcentury aluminum bench is covered in a jacquard by @laurenhwangnewyork, the table lamps are by @mennealy_ceramics, the pillows are by @patmcganngallery, the rug is by Jorge Pardo for @christopherfarrdesign, and the pendant is by @philippeanthonioz.
