チェルシー・ルーズさんのインスタグラム写真 - (チェルシー・ルーズInstagram)「(1/2) : When nominated for the women-supporting-women challenge that’s going around I was honored, confused, and speechless. On one hand, of course it feels good to get included on things like this - it makes me feel supported in a certain way. With that said, I recognize that this challenge is being spread through private messages instead of encouraging all WOMEN (including non-cisgender women, non binary and gnc humans too) and that makes me upset. I was also confused and speechless because initially I only saw black and white photos of white women, like myself. Because of these two things I thought to myself that this could be better; it should be better!! We are better than this. Since this challenge has been spreading like wildfire, I’m happy to see more diversity and depth to this challenge. It has taken me a bit longer to find the right words to accept this challenge as simply stating “challenge accepted” felt empty to me. @molly.mitchell @kellyj0sephine ❤️❤️ I accept this challenge and I appreciate the nomination from those of you who nominated me, as it helped me carve out time to sit and reflect on this concept. Right now, women-supporting-women really needs to be highlighted through continued efforts in working towards justice for Breonna Taylor and others like her. It means stepping up and looking outside of my whiteness to seek out black, indiginous & people of color owned businesses, especially those owned by women, and supporting them with my financial resources. It means seeking out books written by bipoc authors. It means showing & providing support for bipoc LGBTQIA+ people, too. This should never be forgotten and yet many people, women included, seem to have forgotten that we are in the middle of a movement that needs us, specifically women.
