Apsara dance: The dancing Apsaras, the mythological entertainers of Hindu gods, often compared to angels, are one of the principal motifs in Khmer temple carvings, such as these on the walls of the Bayon Temple in Angkor Wat. The bas-reliefs have become an inspiration for Khmer classical dance, an indigenous ballet-like performance art of Cambodia.
