Giving them a childhood so different to my own is a gift to me.💕 . My childhood was horrible. It was filled with violence and fear and humiliation and as you’d expect, those memories are horrendous. I’ve come to terms with those years of abuse but they still hurt my heart. . As I was writing my book and delving into those horrific years, I wished I could go back and rescue Little Louise. 💔I was the same age Darcy is now and it breaks me. She’s so small. So was I. . So, I’ve decided I’d like to give 100% of my book sale royalties to @nspcc_official. That money will help other Little Louise’s who feel alone and frightened.
