The day I saw the first samples of my Love, Whit x @renttherunway collection I cried in front of a room full of people. I felt so many different emotions. Excitement to be doing something I dreamt of as a little girl, nervousness as I questioned my ability to design and launch a clothing line again and sadness because I missed my dad. My dad believed in me more than anyone I knew. He watched and cheered me on as I sent Whitney Eve down the runway at Bryant Park, got my first order from a major department store, starred in a tv show following along on my journey to become a real designer and SO. MUCH. MORE. When I lost him, I lost a lot of myself. I lost the confidence that was driving so many of my professional endeavors and I suffered. Losing him forced me to believe in myself enough for the both of us. It has taken me a while to get to this place but now I see clearly enough to see him by my side instead of gone forever.

My partnership with @renttherunway has felt like a bit of a rebirth for me professionally. I have realized that I AM A DESIGNER, no matter what anyone may say. I’m not just a reality tv star. I have a vision and @renttherunway saw it and let me do my thing. I will be forever grateful to them for giving me this opportunity. It has allowed me to continue to pursue my dreams and given me the confidence to dust myself off, get back up, and try again.
