The OUTSTANDING penguin is our newest female chick. Wildlife care specialists know her by her number 3984, but she'll soon have a name. She's grown into a sweet bird and likes to follow her caretakers around. She patiently waits her turn at feedings and is an overall pleasure to have in the colony.

Doug NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. He seemed timid during his debut on The Zoo: San Diego, but Doug has molted into his adult plumage and has the attitude of a belligerent teenager. He bullies others birds approaching the food bucket, nips at wildlife care specialists, and starts fights with other colony members who are minding their own business.
