This was more than a track meet. This was an opportunity, a call to action, a shot in the dark, and a hopeful step forward.

When speaking to the meeting director of the @weltklassezurich , I asked what his thoughts, intentions, and hopes were for this meeting. I was drawn in by the name "Inspiration Games" but wanted to understand the meaning behind it. He hoped this meeting would INSPIRE other meetings to keep going, for athletes to keep training, and for spectators to be encouraged/motivated.
Though we are in a difficult time, we must be creative, SAFE, and innovative to create a space to produce a high quality show and ULTIMATELY entertain.

The @diamondleagueathletics made the poor decision to cut out 4 disciplines from their program for 2020. This goes against the spirit and tarnishes the beauty of OUR sport. I am hoping/praying that this meeting and other meetings will be INSPIRED to not return to the former format but to think BIGGER. Let's start talking about shortened multi events (@カタリーナ・ジョンソン・トンプソン ), adding the hammer (@jennydahlgren )and presenting the suspense of the field events in a more gravitating way. Be willing to work, speak, and listen to the athletes that make OUR sport so unique.
