Avalanche lilies as bright as stars decorate the fields under a dappled sky at Olympic National Park in #Washington. The park protects nearly a million acres, thousands of years of human history, and several distinctly different ecosystems, including glacier-capped #mountains, old-growth temperate rain forests and over 70 miles of wild coastline. The natural bouquet of #wildflowers is just one of @olympic_nps's unforgettable scenes, preserved best when we take only pictures and leave only footprints.
