Complained all day about that being our plan for the evening and then the show started and he lit up in every possible way while watching it. He asked me a billion questions during the screening and every day since. Yesterday he asked to put the soundtrack on and proceeded to sit by the Alexa speaker in the kitchen for the entirety of the soundtrack from start to finish. Over 2 hours. The whole morning was hamilton. He was so focused on the lyrics and the story that I actually took his temperature- afraid he was sick. Nope. Not sick. Just completely enthralled in a way I’ve never seen him interact with music or story before. So now, my house is full of Hamilton. The kids walk around singing “I’m not throwing away my shot... just you wait... Alexander Hamilton... I wanna be in the room where it happened...” and it makes me so happy and #linmanuelmiranda is a genius and the #hamilfilm was sensational.
