Veronica is living with HIV in South Sudan but, thanks to her love, determination and care, her baby Mubarak is HIV-free. When pregnant women are diagnosed with HIV and receive antiretroviral medicines during pregnancy, delivery and breastfeeding, the chance that they will pass on the virus to their baby is less than 1%.⠀

We know what works. We’ve made great progress. But children globally are still becoming infected because their mothers face social stigma, structural discrimination and unequal access to care. Now, #COVID19 is disrupting services and leaving even more children at risk. To finally end HIV and AIDS, we must support every mother and child with quality care.⠀
